What a fun story time we had for August. We had guests from the Bay area visiting their grandmother, some yummy chocolate treats and sweet potato pie, and some really good books, including, “What if…” by Samantha Berger and “Another” by Christian Robinson. Instead of our usual hands on craft, and in the spirit of creativity and the power of imagination, both of which are celebrated in these books, we created a community story by allowing the kids to observe and self-express what they saw on the wordless pages of this Robinson’s fascinating book. Afterwards, they continued their inventions with impromptu musical compositions. We don’t want to spoil anything, so check out the book at your nearest library and give it a look!
