She read the book, “My Nana and Me” by Irene Smalls and illustrated by Cathy Ann Johnson and “The Colors of Us” by Karen Katz.  We read “Finn and the First Order,” from the Star Wars series and “Princess Tiana and the Royal Ball” by Natasha Anastasia Tarpley and illustrated by James Finch.

For the art project, the story time guests made accordion thankful books, led by Junior Artist-in-Residence, Alicia Randall.  Using strips of recycled paper and string, Alicia led the kids in writing something for which they are thankful on each page.

Ms. Ford also came by to talk to the children about being thankful and help with the activity.
